Dancing Twice in a Day

I met Ron at the “Y” for our dance lesson. I had practiced the “twinkle” and he was able to correct some of what I was doing wrong. Whew! I had practiced between panic attacks over repairs in my “wreck” room where water had ruined the carpet and the restoration company came to clean up and spray and dry. Between the phone calls and the cleanup, I would twinkle across the living room. I wanted to get my mind off water seeping in and costs going up as more and more people were getting involved in solving my problem. So I danced. Or rather I “twinkled.” I thought I had made progress until I attended the evening Athens Dance group at the Moose Lodge in Athens. Everyone was so nice and friendly and good at dancing. I was the only person with two left feet. As a new member of the Women of the Moose, I have no idea what that means or what that offers me, just I had to join if I wanted to continue to practice with the dancers at the Lodge, so I joined and am looking forward to next week’s practice session. Ron and his wife Barbara, were so very welcoming, that I will practice as much as possible this week to make sure I “twinkle” correctly on our next lesson. My granddaughter comes this weekend and we will bake and I will show her the “twinkle” so that maybe we can do it together. I think she should start now at 3-1/2 so by the time she’s grown, she can “twinkle” with the best waltzers out there.
