High Tea at the University College Dublin was to be an event we were not to miss. The administration told us that we needed to register to attend. The registration would open at 9 AM. At 9:05 AM, the program assistant interrupted class to alert the students that the registration was open. Every student immediately grabbed their phone and texted their registration including mine. Spots were limited. We got acceptances and attended last evening at 18:30 in O’Reilly Hall overlooking the lake on campus. Everyone was in their Sunday best (as close as students can get when traveling). There was a quartet of all women in white playing the entire time. Students and faculty were sat at round tables with a roaring 20s theme. Later there was a photo booth where we had a group shot and smaller group shots. Such a lovely event that even the Irish weather behaved and it was warm with no rain. First time I have been outside without a coat or rain gear in 2 weeks.
